Kevin Behrens
Owner | Chief UAS Officer | Environmental Scientist | Private Forester | U.S. Air Force Veteran

I am a dedicated environmental scientist with a robust academic background and over 3 years of hands-on experience in drone operations, specializing in agriculture and natural resource management. A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management program, I focused on Natural Resources Management, GIS, and Forest Conservation. My education fueled a passion that led me to pursue an advanced degree in Natural Resource Science and Management, where my thesis research investigated mercury cycling in peatland ecosystems under changing climates.

Before my academic journey, I served six years in the U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Specialist, completing four deployments. My military experience honed my skills in leadership, project management, and problem-solving—abilities that have seamlessly transferred into the environmental field and enriched my professional expertise.

Recently, I applied my knowledge as a Soil Conservationist with NRCS MN and a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, focusing on soil conservation, forest hydrology, and watershed management. My diverse experience includes prairie restoration and invasive species management with the National Park Service and data analysis for forest assessments using advanced GIS technology with the DNR.

I am eager to apply my skills and passion to impactful roles in natural resource management, forestry, UAS/Drones, and contribute to sustainable and innovative environmental solutions. Feel free to connect with me to discuss potential collaborations or opportunities.
